The International Antarctic Centre was established in 1992 and is one of the leading visitor attractions and has been a multiple winner and finalist in the New Zealand Tourism Awards. The Antarctic Centre is located in the heart of a working Antarctic campus at Christchurch International Airport which is the gate way to the actual Antarctic.
