Hagley Park & Golf Course
Hagley Park has been at the heart of Christchurch since the 1850s and is today the most significant central city park. It offers a diverse range of entertainment and recreational facilities close to the city centre. The park is divided into North Hagley and South Hagley Parks, divided by Rolleston Avenue. Cycle tracks and pathways go through and around the park allowing you to enter and exit around its perimeter. For running enthusiasts the North Hagley perimeter is 4.5km whilst the South Hagley perimeter 3.7km. There is a 17-station fitness circuit along the perimeter track of North Hagley Park. The park is a major sporting and cultural focal point with netball courts, a golf course, soccer and rugby pitches. If you’re looking for a round of golf in Christchurch, you won’t find a better located option than the Hagley Park golf course. Hagley Golf Club offers a challenging golfing experience in a uniquely beautiful setting. The 72 par course is made up of 12 original holes, with 6 of them repeating with different tee and pin placements.
